Support statement from Hikmet Çetin following the absolute nullity ruling: We stand with you

The 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Justice has issued an "absolute nullity" ruling regarding the CHP congress lawsuit.

According to the ruling, while Özgür Özel, who enabled the CHP to become the leading party after 47 years, and his administration are being removed from office as a precautionary measure, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his administration will return to duty.

KILIÇDAROĞLU CALLED FOR 'COOPERATION'

In his first statement on the matter, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "We must manage this process not with 'regrets,' but with seriousness, the sincerity we derive from our party culture, and common sense. Personal ambitions are not essential; the future of Turkey is. In this context, we will conduct the process in full harmony and cooperation with our former Chairmen, Party Assembly members, deputies, and provincial and district heads."

Hikmet Çetin, one of the former chairmen of the CHP, stated in a post on his social media account regarding the Ankara Regional Court of Justice's decision to cancel the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, "We stand with our Chairman Özgür Özel."

Çetin noted the following:

"With this decision, which is devoid of law and logic, a blow has once again been dealt to the will of the delegates and the nation. We stand with our Chairman Özgür Özel. If others have an agenda, the nation also has an agenda."
