Support to be provided to retirees during Ramadan has been announced

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) continues to increase its social support for retirees in the face of rising living costs. In this context, the Retiree Market Support program has been launched. As of 2026, 20,000 retirees living in Istanbul will be provided with 10,000 TL of support per person. These payments are planned to be made during the month of Ramadan.

ANNUAL 10,000 TL SUPPORT FOR RETIREES

IBB will make an annual payment of 10,000 TL to needy retirees who reside in Istanbul and have applied for social support. In 2026, a total of 200 million TL in support will be provided to 20,000 retirees. This support aims to contribute to the retirees' grocery expenses.

PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE DURING RAMADAN

IBB will carry out the payments it will make within the scope of the Retiree Market Support during the month of Ramadan. Thus, retirees will be able to receive this support to contribute to their food shopping during the month of Ramadan.

HOW TO APPLY?

Retirees who wish to benefit from the Retiree Market Support can make their applications via the Alo 153 Solution Center or through the https://sosyalyardim.ibb.gov.tr/ address.

Following the evaluations made after the applications, support payments will be made to retirees who are determined to be in need.

100 MILLION TL SUPPORT FROM IBB TO DATE

With the Retiree Market Support it launched on November 25, 2024, IBB has provided a total of 100 million 760 thousand TL in cash assistance to 10,076 households, with 10,000 TL per household. This support stands out as an important step aimed at alleviating the financial difficulties of retirees to some extent.

Retirees who reside in Istanbul and have applied for social support can benefit from this support when they are determined to be in need through the evaluations conducted. Support applications can be made via the social assistance platform determined by IBB or through the Alo 153 Solution Center.
