Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch launched an operation targeting Engin Polat and Dilan Polat at 01:15 following instructions from the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Simultaneous raids were carried out on 43 addresses during the operation, which spanned 6 provinces centered in Istanbul. The 14 individuals taken into custody were brought to the Istanbul Police Department following health checks.

According to the MASAK report, the Polat couple deposited the money they obtained into the accounts of family members by issuing fake invoices through 5 companies. It was revealed that the operation order was given following evidence obtained during examinations of companies belonging to Engin Polat and Dilan Polat. It was learned that concrete evidence for the investigation was obtained from the seized digital devices and documents.

It was learned that in addition to charges of laundering proceeds of crime, opposition to the Tax Procedure Law, and forgery of official documents, Engin Polat and Dilan Polat are also being charged with establishing and managing an organization.

80 PAGES OF DOCUMENTS

During the searches conducted at the Polat couple's home, documents including 80 pages of title deeds and invoices were seized. 10 thousand dollars were found at the home of fugitive company partner Zümrüt Yerebakan, 1 hard drive and 350 bullets at Zekai Tepe's home, and 120 thousand lira, 36 account statements, and 1 laptop were seized at Ahmet Gün's home.
