ASAL Research has announced the results of its survey on the economic crisis in Turkey. In the survey conducted across 26 provinces in Turkey, citizens were asked, "What is the most important problem of the Turkish economy?" While 28.7 percent of participants answered "the rise in food prices," 16.4 percent responded with "the rise in rent and housing prices."

As the economic crisis in Turkey deepens day by day, Asal Research conducted a public opinion survey across 26 provinces in Turkey. In the survey, which was carried out between July 10-17, 2024, with 2,000 people aged 18 and over, citizens were asked, "What is the most important problem of the Turkish economy?" 28.7 percent of those who participated in the survey stated that the most important problem in the economy is the price increase in food products.
While 16.4 percent of the participants expressed the rise in rent and housing prices as the most important problem, 8 percent pointed to the high cost of fuel.
