Habertürk Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was detained as part of a drug investigation and subsequently suspended from his duties, has been arrested by the criminal judgeship of peace. Along with Ersoy, Mustafa Manaz, Ufuk Tetik, and Ebru Gülan were also among those arrested.

Ufuk Tetik, one of the suspects waiting in the courthouse corridors, interfered with journalists attempting to film.

Tetik's aggressive behavior, particularly his physical assault on journalist İhsan Yalçın, drew attention. It was observed that the suspects, who were referred to the prosecutor, were generally tense and agitated.
