24-year-old Mustafa B., who was detained in connection with the murder of Gökçe Alkan, has been arrested. Alkan's sister, Özlem Akbay, explained that her sister was deceived by the suspect, who claimed, "I had a traffic accident," and was convinced to meet him in this way.

ARGUMENT BROKE OUT IN WOODED AREA

It was stated that Gökçe Alkan and her boyfriend, Mustafa B., had gone by car to a wooded area in the Güngörmez neighborhood of the Karacabey district before the incident. Allegedly, an argument broke out between the two over a breakup issue.

It is claimed that as the argument escalated, Mustafa B. attacked Alkan with a knife. While the young woman lost her life at the scene, it was stated that the suspect also harmed himself, sustaining an injury to his neck.

SUSPECT APPEARED BEFORE JUDGE VIA SEGBIS

Following the murder, a large number of people gathered around the courthouse upon hearing that the detained Mustafa B. would be brought there. However, the suspect was not physically taken to the courthouse.

Mustafa B.'s legal proceedings were conducted via SEGBIS (Audio and Visual Information System). Alkan's brother-in-law, Gökhan Akbay, was also admitted to the courtroom to follow the process.

After the completion of the prosecutor's procedures, Mustafa B. was referred to the on-duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for his arrest on charges of premeditated murder. The suspect, who was arrested by the judgeship, was sent to prison.

Gökhan Akbay, who followed the process at the courthouse, also stated that the proceedings were carried out via SEGBIS and that Mustafa B. was sent to prison following the arrest decision.

SISTER DESCRIBES THE FINAL MEETING

Gökçe Alkan's sister, Özlem Akbay, stated that her sister was a calm young woman who never harmed anyone and was always smiling. Saying that she had spent time with her sister shortly before the murder, Akbay explained that she went to her that night after Gökçe called her.

Stating that she did not notice any problems at that time, Akbay said, "We sat together and had fun. She was perfectly fine, she was in good spirits, there was nothing wrong."

According to her sister, Mustafa B. had claimed that he had not been able to reach Gökçe for two days and that he was in the hospital. Stating that she did not believe this explanation, Özlem Akbay expressed her belief that the suspect was lying to her sister, saying, "I said, 'Gökçe, can a person have an accident all the time? That boy is lying to you. I will prove it to you.'"

Akbay said that she called various hospitals to find out if Mustafa B. was really in the hospital, but could not get any information.

WENT TO THE MEETING DESPITE THE "DON'T GO" WARNING

Stating that on the day Gökçe Alkan was murdered, Mustafa B. called again, saying he had an accident and wanted to show her his car, Özlem Akbay noted that she warned her sister not to go.

Stating that her sister wanted to go to the meeting despite this, Akbay said, "I said, 'Gökçe, don't go, let it be, what's the point?' She said, 'I want to confront him, let me see.'"

The sister, who said Gökçe then went to the meeting, expressed her belief that the murder was premeditated.

LEARNED OF PHONE ALLEGATION AFTER HER DEATH

Özlem Akbay stated that she also asked her sister whether Mustafa B. used drugs. Conveying that Gökçe said her boyfriend did not use drugs, Akbay said, "Gökçe told me, 'No, he doesn't use them. He doesn't even smoke in front of me.'"

Expressing that she later heard different allegations from the surroundings, Akbay explained that she learned from Gökçe's friends after her death that her sister had another phone and that this phone had been thrown into the sea.

GÖKÇE ALKAN LAID TO REST

It was stated that Gökçe Alkan, who graduated from the Health Services Department of Farabi Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School this year and was looking for a job, was the youngest of the family's three daughters.

Alkan's body, which was delivered to her family after the autopsy at the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute, was laid to rest following the funeral prayer held at the Uluabatlı Hasan Mosque.
