In the incident that took place on January 31 in the Cerrahpaşa neighborhood of Fatih, Istanbul, 24-year-old murder suspect Erkan Baykut, who was learned to have 9 criminal records for offenses including 'intentional injury, threats, property damage, and theft', attacked Ramazan Pişkin, known on social media as 'Ramazan Hoca from Diyarbakır', with a knife at the tea house he operated, causing his death.
The murder suspect Erkan Baykut, who was caught and taken into custody one day after the incident, was taken to the Istanbul Police Department on Vatan Street.
After his procedures there, the murder suspect was sent to the Public Security Branch Directorate in Gayrettepe, and following his processing, he was referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
