Suspect who murdered Eren Peker in Konya has been caught

The suspect who stabbed and killed 20-year-old university student Eren Peker, who also worked as a taxi driver on weekends to earn extra money, has been caught, and the murder weapon was found in a trash bin.

In Konya, 20-year-old university student Eren Peker, who worked at a taxi stand, had his path blocked by individuals he had argued with after dropping off a passenger at the traffic lights in front of the Mevlana Cultural Center.

Eren Peker, who sustained multiple stab wounds, was critically injured. Upon notification by citizens in the area, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

20-year-old Eren Peker, who was rushed to Konya City Hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite all interventions.

Following an autopsy at the Konya Forensic Medicine Institute, Peker's body was laid to rest in his hometown of Karaman.

SUSPECTS IN THE INCIDENT CAUGHT, MURDER WEAPON KNIFE FOUND

Police teams launched an investigation to catch the suspects who fled after the incident. Upon receiving information that suspect Muzaffer T. and his accomplice Muammer B. were in a car with license plate 06 PPY 88 on the Adana Ring Road in the evening, the teams began tracking the vehicle. While attempting to flee from the teams, the suspects were caught and taken into custody on Başak Street by teams from the Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau of the Karatay District Police Department.

Suspects Muzaffer T. and Muammer B. underwent health checks at Konya Numune Hospital. In an operation conducted by the Homicide Bureau of the Public Security Branch, another suspect, Buse K., was also caught and taken into custody.

Meanwhile, in line with the suspects' statements at the police station, the murder weapon, a knife, was found in a trash container located on İğnel Dede Street in the Karaaslan neighborhood of the Karatay district.
