Suspect who shot and wounded union president in İzmir referred to courthouse

In the Çiğli district of İzmir, the suspect who wounded DERİTEKS Union President Makum Alagöz with a handgun has been brought to the courthouse.

The suspect, identified as O.A., who fled after the incident and was apprehended by police teams in Çiğli with the weapon used in the crime, has completed his processing at the police station.

The suspect was referred to the courthouse.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Makum Alagöz and accompanying union officials had gone to meet with the business owner yesterday at the request of workers at the Akar Tekstil company.

Alagöz was subjected to an armed attack there by O.A., the brother of the business owner. Alagöz was taken to the hospital, and the fleeing suspect was captured by police.
