Suspect who stabbed and killed his ex-girlfriend in Afyonkarahisar arrested

Afyonkarahisar'da, Y.Ç. (23), who stabbed and killed his ex-girlfriend in a park, has been arrested. The suspect, whose processing was completed at the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch, was referred to the courthouse following a medical check-up at the hospital. It was learned that Y.Ç., who exercised his right to remain silent at the police station, denied the accusations at the prosecutor's office.
Y.Ç., who was identified by eyewitnesses, was arrested by the duty magistrate on charges of "intentional homicide".
The funeral for the victim, S.T. (19), was held in the Şuhut district, where she was laid to rest in the district cemetery following prayers at Ulu Mosque. It was stated that S.T. and her family had not filed any complaints with law enforcement regarding their safety.
The incident occurred yesterday at Orhun Park in the Selçuklu neighborhood. Y.Ç. had stabbed and killed his ex-girlfriend S.T., whom he met there, and then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by police teams in the İscehisar district.
