Suspect with 38-year prison sentence captured in Istanbul

During operations conducted by the Istanbul Provincial Police Department to prevent general public order incidents in the Yavuz Sinan neighborhood of Fatih, an individual whose behavior appeared suspicious was stopped.

The suspect, who presented an ID card issued in someone else's name to the police, had their true identity determined during a detailed interrogation.

It was determined that the suspect, D.K. (30), had a finalized prison sentence of 38 years and 11 months for 2 counts of "robbery," 2 counts of "theft," and 1 count of "escape of a convict or detainee."

It was also determined that the suspect had 12 prior records for crimes including "theft," "violation of residential immunity," "robbery," and "damaging property."

The suspect, D.K., was sent to prison after completing procedures at the courthouse.
