'Suspicious' death in Bağcılar: He wrapped the woman's body in a bag and hid it for 10 days
In Istanbul, a 48-year-old woman named Songül Kurt was found dead, wrapped in a bag, at the home of a man she had met, identified as E.A. Three people have been detained in connection with the incident.

In the Bağcılar district of Istanbul, a 48-year-old woman named Songül Kurt allegedly lost her life after falling at the home of E.A., with whom she was using drugs. Fearing the consequences of the incident, E.A. wrapped the woman's body in a bag and hid it in the house for 10 days.
The incident took place recently in the basement of a house in Bağcılar Yenimahalle. It is alleged that a 60-year-old man named E.A. had begun living in the same house with Songül Kurt (48), whom he had met 3 months ago. On the day of the incident, Songül Kurt, who was using drugs with E.A., allegedly fell and died as a result of a blow to her head.
Seeing that the woman was dead, E.A. became frightened and wrapped the body in a blanket and a bag, hiding it in a room.
Ten days later, neighbors reported the situation to police teams due to foul odors coming from the house.
Police teams arriving at the scene entered the house with the help of a locksmith, as no one was inside, and found the unfortunate woman's body wrapped in a black bag on the bed.
During their investigation at the scene, the teams also found narcotics in the living room of the house.
The teams detained E.A., with whom the woman lived and who has a criminal record for numerous offenses, as well as a woman named R.B. and a man named O.D., who had come to the house after the incident to clean up and had failed to notify the police.
In his initial statement, the detained E.A. claimed that they had used narcotics together at the house on the day of the incident, that the woman had fallen and hit her head on a coffee table, and that he had tried to lift her but was unsuccessful.
He stated that when he woke up in the morning, he realized the woman was dead, and fearing that he would be blamed for the incident, he did not tell anyone and had placed the body in a bag 4 days ago due to the odor.
Kurt's body, which was examined at the scene, was later transported to the Council of Forensic Medicine morgue for an autopsy.
