Suspicious death of a woman in Ankara: She lost her life after falling from the 14th floor... Her boyfriend has been detained

In the incident that occurred yesterday evening in the Şehit Osman Avcı neighborhood, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following a report that Ş.G.K. had fallen from the 14th floor of the building. Medical teams determined that the woman had lost her life at the scene.

Police teams went to the apartment from which the woman fell and knocked on the door. When the door was not opened, the teams entered the home with the help of a locksmith and detained H.U., who was found sleeping inside. It was alleged that H.U. lived with Ş.G.K.

In his statement to the police, the detained H.U. stated that he and Ş.G.K. had been in a relationship for 1 month, and that they had argued before the incident but had later reconciled. H.U. claimed that he had taken prescription medication for an ailment and fallen asleep, which is why he could not open the door when the police rang the bell, and that he had no knowledge of the incident.

'THE WOMAN JUMPED, HELP'

The Ankara Police Department has launched an investigation to determine whether the incident was a suicide or a murder. It was announced that the processing of H.U. at the police station is ongoing. An apartment resident who witnessed the event, Arda Çelik, stated that H.U., who was in the house, had called for help after Ş.G.K. jumped.

Çelik provided the following statements regarding the incident:

''I was doing homework after breaking my fast. I heard a scream, followed by a thud. At first, I looked out the window, but I couldn't see anything. Then I heard a voice, someone was shouting 'the woman jumped, help'. When I went downstairs, they said the woman was still alive and had a pulse. They immediately called 112, the teams arrived and performed CPR. The police also reached the scene shortly after. I have been living here for 2 years, I don't know them at all.''
