A 'symbolic' gift from Özel, who hosted Erdoğan at CHP Headquarters

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the CHP Headquarters to meet with CHP leader Özgür Özel. CHP Chairman Özel welcomed Erdoğan at the entrance. The meeting between the two lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes.

As details regarding the meeting continue to emerge, journalist İsmail Saymaz revealed the gift Özel gave to AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan in a post on his social media account.

"Özel gifted Erdoğan the 'Payidar Gondola' piece from Paşabahçe's 'Gururla' (With Pride) collection.

The Payidar Gondola was designed inspired by the crescent and star motif decorated with laurel and oak branches on the balcony of the 2nd Parliament.

It symbolizes the power of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and the war of independence led by Atatürk."
