Syrian Interim Government Prime Minister Abdurrahman Mustafa: We will cut off the hand extended to the Turkish flag

Mustafa, connecting to a tv100 broadcast, stated, “Unfortunately, very sad events have occurred. You know about the events that took place in Kayseri, Turkey. The institutions of the Turkish state are already holding those responsible accountable. The reason for the presence of Syrian citizens here is clear. 

They are here under temporary protection. We are fighting against terrorism together with Turkey. Today, we are fighting to ensure Turkey's national security. With the support of our national army, we struck a dagger into the PKK-PYD terrorist organization project alongside the TSK (Turkish Armed Forces). The Syrian people also fought here. 

If we carry the events in Turkey to Syria, and the events in Syria to Turkey, it will not be in the interest of either country. There are some provocateurs trying to sabotage our efforts to ensure the voluntary and honorable return of Syrians by using the events that have occurred as an excuse. As the Syrian Interim Government, we will hold them accountable in a fair and severe manner. I believe what happened is a provocation. What occurred is not a social movement; it is a provocation. We know who is inciting these events,” he said.

Mustafa continued his remarks by saying, "As the Syrian opposition, the Syrian Interim Government, and the Syrian National Army, Turkey's security is Syria's security. Turkey's national security is also important within Turkey. We will cut off the hand extended to the Turkish flag. We will do what is necessary."
