Taksim and Şişhane metro stations closed by governor's office decision
Metro Istanbul has announced that, in accordance with a decision by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the Taksim and Şişhane metro stations and the Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be temporarily out of service as of 10:00 AM today.

In Istanbul, the Istanbul Governor's Office has implemented transportation restrictions ahead of marches planned as part of Trans Pride Week events. In this context, it was decided to temporarily close the Taksim and Şişhane metro stations, as well as the Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line.
In an update provided by Metro Istanbul, it was stated that certain stations would be out of service.
The following statement was included in the announcement:
“In accordance with the decision taken by the Istanbul Governor's Office, the Taksim station of our M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman Metro Line, the Şişhane station's İstiklal Street and Refik Saydam entrances, and our F1 Taksim-Kabataş Funicular Line will be closed to operations until further notice.”
