Tanju Özcan announces while addressing Erdoğan! Lowest salaries in the municipality raised to 43 thousand liras

Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan announced the base and ceiling wages to be paid to workers in the municipality in a post he shared on his social media account.

"DESPITE THE GOVERNMENT'S EFFORTS TO 'SHAKE US DOWN', WE RAISED IT TO 43,000 TL"

Tagging President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his post, Özcan said, "We both manage budgets. Over the last 5 years in Bolu, we have grown our budget revenue by finding leaks and losses, without wasting, and without conducting no-bid tenders, and we have significantly reduced our debts. As a result, despite all the obstacles from state institutions and the government's 'shake-down' efforts, we have raised the monthly salary of our lowest-paid municipal employee to 43,000 TL (equivalent to 2 minimum wages)."

"WE DID NOT LET OUR EMPLOYEES BE CRUSHED BY THE HIGH COST OF LIVING"

Continuing his statement, Özcan said, "Meanwhile, in the same period, you could not even raise the salaries of our retirees, who have served this state for many years and paid premiums, to 14,500 TL. Consequently, as a municipality, we did not let our employees be crushed by the high cost of living. You and your government, who claim that the economy is your responsibility, have left minimum wage earners and retirees in misery. The picture is clear; it has emerged that you cannot manage the economy and have bankrupted the country. For the sake of God, hand over your seat to those who know the job as soon as possible."

MONTHLY YIELD OF BONUSES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR IS 3 THOUSAND 800 LIRAS

On the other hand, the shared table indicated that the highest worker wage has been raised to 62 thousand 500 liras. Additionally, the monthly yield of the bonuses that municipal workers receive throughout the year was announced as an average of 3 thousand 800 liras.
