Özcan, who actively uses his social media account to address his constituents regarding current events, appeared before his followers this time with a warning.

Tanju Özcan, who claimed that a gold mining license had been granted for a 1,000-hectare forest area in the north of Bolu, made the following post:

"The Ministry has granted a gold mining license for a 1,000-hectare forest area covering Pirahmetler Village and its surroundings in the north of Bolu. They must have forgotten that the Mayor of Bolu is Tanju Özcan, the grandson of Köroğlu, when they issued this license.

I will never allow the forests of Bolu to be massacred, nor its soil and water to be polluted with cyanide.

If Aleppo is there, the yardstick is here.

I CHALLENGE YOU!"
