Tanju Özcan's 'expulsion' warning to the government: 'Uniformed cultists'

Tanju Özcan stated, "The uniformed cultists you nurtured within the army attempted a coup against the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Nation. You are still busy dismissing brilliant officers who declare their loyalty to the country's founder, Atatürk, from the army. You are about to push things too far; come to your senses as soon as possible."

Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan reacted to the decision to expel five lieutenants from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) with a statement on his social media account. Özcan shared the following:

"Your problem with Atatürk, who earned the title of Commander-in-Chief not by talking from his seat but by fighting on the battlefields and who founded an independent country, and those who follow in his footsteps, never ends. The uniformed cultists you nurtured within the army attempted a coup against the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish Nation. You are still busy dismissing brilliant officers who declare their loyalty to the country's founder, Atatürk, from the army.
