In an incident that occurred on the night of Wednesday, August 12, in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, three women who had spent time at an entertainment venue in Kuruçeşme boarded a taxi to go to Etiler. The group reached their destination without any issues during the journey, but then began arguing with the driver, citing various reasons to avoid paying the 600 TL fare shown on the taximeter.
During the incident, which took place around 03:00, the women displayed verbal aggression in response to the driver's request for payment. Feeling threatened by the women's aggressive behavior, the driver notified the police.
When the women got out of the taxi and tried to flee during the argument, the taxi driver began recording a video with his mobile phone to document the events. The footage captured at that moment showed the women quickly walking away without paying the fare.
The taxi driver filed a complaint, stating that he had documented the events both with the footage he recorded himself and with security cameras in the area. The driver said, "I just want payment for the transport service I provided."
Police teams are currently continuing their review of the camera footage, and the three women are expected to be identified and face legal action.
