As of March 1, 2026, taking a taxi in Ankara has become more expensive due to rising costs. Tariffs were updated in response to the increase in fuel and operating expenses. With the new regulation, prices have been raised across many items, from the taximeter opening fee to the per-kilometer and waiting charges.

Following the long-awaited price hike decision, the fees paid by citizens traveling by taxi in the city have increased noticeably. Especially during hours when vehicles are frequently forced to stop in traffic, the cost of a one-minute wait has reached 7 TL, drawing attention.

  • Short-Distance (Drop) Fee: 200 TL
  • Per-Kilometer Fee: 40 TL
  • Unit Distance Fee (Every 100 Meters): 4 TL
  • Hourly Waiting Fee: 420 TL
  • Unit Time Fee (1 Minute): 7 TL
