Teenager dies after inhaling lighter gas
An 18-year-old youth who allegedly fell ill after inhaling lighter gas with friends in an empty lot in the Yeşilyurt district of Malatya has died at the hospital where he was taken.

The incident occurred around 19:00 in the Yakınca neighborhood of Yeşilyurt district. According to allegations, T.E.T. (18), who went to the Beylerderesi Park area with his friends M.K. and E.D.N., fell ill after inhaling lighter gas there.
Upon the notification of his friends, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area. T.E.T., who was taken to the Pediatric Service of Malatya Training and Research Hospital, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life.
Teams conducting an investigation in the area found one empty lighter gas canister. M.K. and E.D.N., who were under the age of 18 and present at the scene during the incident, were taken to the prosecutor's office under police supervision to provide their statements.
The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
