Temperatures to rise in June

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology, dry and hot weather will be effective across the country, starting from the western regions of Turkey. Temperatures, which have been following seasonal norms, are expected to rise during the holiday and exceed those norms.

MARMARA

It is estimated that temperatures will increase noticeably, especially in the western regions. In the Marmara Region, partly cloudy and clear weather is expected, with Balıkesir at 33°C, Edirne at 36°C, Istanbul at 30°C, and Kırklareli at 32°C.

AEGEAN

In the Aegean Region, Afyonkarahisar will see 28°C, while Denizli and Manisa will face temperatures of 36°C, and Izmir will reach 34°C.

MEDITERRANEAN REGION

In the Mediterranean Region, clear and slightly cloudy weather is forecast, with temperature values of 35°C in Adana, 34°C in Antalya, 32°C in Hatay, and 30°C in Isparta. In Central Anatolia, partly cloudy and clear weather will prevail, with Ankara at 29°C, Eskişehir at 32°C, Konya at 29°C, and Nevşehir at 25°C.

BLACK SEA REGION

In the Black Sea Region, partly cloudy and clear weather is expected in the Western Black Sea with Bolu at 29°C, Düzce at 31°C, and Sinop and Zonguldak at 27°C, while in the Central and Eastern Black Sea, Amasya will see 31°C, Rize 24°C, Samsun 26°C, and Trabzon 22°C.

EASTERN ANATOLIA

In the Eastern Anatolia Region, partly cloudy and clear weather is expected with Erzurum at 23°C, Kars at 22°C, and Malatya at 31°C, while local showers and thunderstorms may occur in the eastern parts of Van. In the Southeastern Anatolia Region, partly cloudy and clear weather is forecast with Diyarbakır and Gaziantep at 34°C, Mardin at 31°C, and Şanlıurfa at 35°C.

The Meteorology office has warned citizens to be cautious against the heatwave.
