The incident occurred on the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in Istanbul at approximately 17:00.
According to allegations, an unidentified individual climbed onto the railings on the bridge and began to hang over the edge.
Other drivers on the bridge notified the police. Upon the report, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
It was learned that efforts by police teams arriving at the scene to persuade the individual, who is attempting suicide, are ongoing.
