RESPONSE FROM THE JOURNALIST

The trailer footage shows Ercan Küçük responding to these remarks by saying, "We are doing journalism. We have no ill intent. I tried to ask my question, but you tried to accuse me of other things."

STATEMENT FROM THE İYİ PARTY

Following the controversy, Hüseyin Raşit Yılmaz, the İYİ Party Deputy Chairman responsible for Media and Publicity, issued a statement.

Yılmaz stated that Dervişoğlu's words were intended as "humor."
