According to Yeni Şafak, it was alleged that in the posts, M.F.Ç. used language involving sexual abuse of young children, made remarks targeting Muslims, and spoke of a plan for an attack in the future.
Following the spread of the footage on social media, in which the suspect allegedly claimed to have killed and eaten cats and performed experiments on them, numerous users called on the authorities to take action.
Following the backlash, 15-year-old M.F.Ç. was taken into custody. It was reported that the accounts used by the suspect on social media platforms were identified by the General Directorate of Security's Cyber Crimes Combat Department.
It was stated that the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security's Child Protection Branch are monitoring the process.
