In an incident that occurred on August 11 in the Kitirler neighborhood of Bolu's Gerede district, a woman identified as G.M.U. injured a 12-year-old child named S.E.Y. by running him over with her car after he had argued with her son. The terrifying moments were captured second by second on security cameras.
The incident took place on Belkıs Sabancı Street. While S.E.Y. was riding a bicycle with his friend, G.M.U. suddenly drove her car toward the child. S.E.Y. was trapped under the vehicle, while his friend managed to escape at the last moment.
Seeing his friend under the car, the other child panicked and tried to save S.E.Y. by running back and forth.
Medical teams arriving at the scene took the child, who was pulled from under the vehicle, to the hospital. Initial examinations indicated that the child had some fractures in his body and that his health condition was stable.
According to the information obtained, it was learned that there had been an argument between S.E.Y. and G.M.U.'s son, and that the woman had intentionally harmed the child for this reason.
G.M.U., who was taken into custody following the incident, was sentenced to house arrest by the court she was brought before.
