'Terror-free Turkey' commission to be established: IYI Party not at the table
Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş met with representatives of political parties with groups in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) as part of the process the government has named "Terror-free Turkey." However, the IYI Party announced that it would not be participating in the process.

It has been decided to establish a commission to ensure that the process dubbed "Terror-free Turkey" continues through Parliament. Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş took the first step toward the commission today by receiving the group deputy chairs of the political parties that have groups in Parliament.
The meeting in Parliament was attended by AKP Group Deputy Chair Abdulhamit Gül, CHP Group Deputy Chair Murat Emir, DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülüstan Kılıç Koçyiğit, MHP Group Deputy Chair Erkan Akçay, IYI Party Group Deputy Chair Buğra Kavuncu, and New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) Group Chair Bülent Kaya.
IYI PARTY WILL NOT PARTICIPATE
During the closed-door meeting, Numan Kurtulmuş discussed the "Terror-free Turkey" process and the commission's work with the group deputy chairs.
IYI Party Group Deputy Chair Buğra Kavuncu stated at the meeting that, as a party, they would not appoint members to the planned commission and would not participate in its activities. In response, Kurtulmuş emphasized the importance of unity for the process.
