Media outlets known for their proximity to the terrorist organization PKK have released a new video of terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan ahead of the disarmament ceremony scheduled to take place in Sulaymaniyah on Friday, July 11.
In the video, which is stated to have been recorded at Imralı Prison, Öcalan called on the terrorist organization to "lay down arms."
THREE NEW NAMES DRAW ATTENTION
It was noted that in the footage, in addition to Ömer Hayri Konar, Veysi Aktaş, and Hamili Yıldırım—who were present alongside Öcalan in the first message released on February 27—three new individuals also appeared.
These names, which previously sparked public debate regarding a "secretariat," have brought claims about new individuals being transferred to Imralı back to the agenda.
WHO IS WITH THE TERRORIST LEADER?
In the new footage and photos provided by sources close to the PKK, it was determined that Zeki Bayhan, Mahmut Yamalak, and Ergin Atabey were also present alongside terrorist leader Öcalan this time.
Mahmut Yamalak, born in the Tutak district of Ağrı in 1969, was arrested in 1994 and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Ergin Atabey, born in 1973, is known as one of the individuals tried in the "Mavi Çarşı attack" case.
Zeki Bayhan, who was born in the Yüksekova district of Hakkâri, has been in prison since 1998.
