The connection between Suat Yıldırım, who will lead the funeral prayer for terrorist leader Fethullah Gülen, and Ali Erbaş

It has been alleged that Suat Yıldırım, who was announced to lead the funeral prayer for FETÖ ringleader Fethullah Gülen, was the person who ensured that the President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş, was hired as an academic at Sakarya University Faculty of Theology in 1993.

Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) ringleader Fethullah Gülen died on October 21 at the hospital where he was being treated in the USA.

It was announced that Suat Yıldırım, known as the 'theology imam of FETÖ,' would lead Gülen's funeral prayer in the USA.

According to a report by Birgün, a long-standing connection has emerged between Yıldırım, the founder of the Sakarya University Faculty of Theology, and the President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş.

CLAIM THAT HE 'HAD ERBAŞ HIRED INTO ACADEMIA'

Erbaş joined the Sakarya Faculty of Theology, which was established in 1992, as an academic in 1993. It is alleged that Suat Yıldırım ensured Erbaş's recruitment to the university.

The paths of Erbaş and Yıldırım also crossed at the Intercultural Dialogue Platform (KADİP). It was noted that Erbaş served as a board member of KADİP, which is publicly described as “one of FETÖ's most important platforms,” during the period when Suat Yıldırım was the chairman of the board.

DOCTORAL THESIS

Yıldırım and Erbaş also both signed off on the doctoral thesis of fugitive Adil Öksüz. Ali Erbaş and Suat Yıldırım were among the five people on the jury for Öksüz's doctoral thesis titled “The Torah and the Quran in Terms of Penal Provisions.”
