The cost of palaces continues to rise: Appropriation for new vehicles
The 2025 Presidency budget has been set at 16 billion 928 million lira, an increase of 37.8 percent. While the majority of the budget is allocated to the purchase of goods and services, 1.8 billion lira will be paid for the maintenance and repair of palaces.

According to the 2025 budget proposal submitted to Parliament by the Presidency, the budget is projected at 16 billion 928 million lira.
While the 2024 budget was 12.2 billion lira, a 37.8 percent increase has been made in the new budget. The main expenditure item of the budget consists of the purchase of goods and services, amounting to 9 billion 827 million lira.
HEAVY BUDGET FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF PALACES
In the Presidency budget, it is stated that a large portion of the 1.8 billion lira capital expenditure will be used for tasks such as the maintenance and repair of palaces. This amount is equivalent to the salaries of approximately 140 thousand 240 retirees.

16.9 MILLION TL APPROPRIATION FOR NEW VEHICLES
In the 2025 budget, an appropriation of 16 million 940 thousand lira has been allocated for the purchase of 20 new vehicles. 5 of these vehicles will be used as official cars for high-level officials and will be purchased for 7.5 million lira each. With the new vehicles, the number of vehicles in the Presidential fleet will reach 481.
In addition to the complex in Beştepe belonging to the Presidency, President Erdoğan also uses the Huber Mansion, Vahdettin Mansion, Dolmabahçe Palace, Yıldız Palace, and Beylerbeyi Palace in Istanbul. Furthermore, the Çankaya Mansion in Ankara, the Okluk Guest House in Marmaris, Muğla, and the Ahlat Mansion in Bitlis are among the other venues used by the Presidency.

The Ahlat Mansion was built on 39 decares of land on the shores of Lake Van, while the Okluk Guest House is located on a 92-decare plot in Gökova. The Ankara Beştepe Complex is situated on a 750-decare section of the Atatürk Forest Farm and draws attention with its 1150 rooms. The complex was opened in 2014.
ERDOĞAN'S SALARY WILL BE 238 THOUSAND LIRA
Within the scope of the 2025 budget proposal, President Erdoğan's salary will be increased by 30 percent, rising from 183 thousand lira to 238 thousand lira. Erdoğan's annual salary will be 2 million 856 thousand lira. On the other hand, while 255 million lira has been allocated for the Presidency's representation and promotion expenses, the Presidential appropriation for 2026 is projected at 3 million 142 thousand lira, and for 2027 at 3 million 456 thousand lira.
