There are channels that provide the services of platforms offering paid series, movie, or match streaming illegally. Those who use IPTV and watch illegal streams may face a prison sentence of 6 months to 2 years.

There are certain channels where services for watching series, movies, or matches obtained from legal platforms are offered illegally. Experts warn that if it is determined that illegal streams are being watched, one could face a prison sentence.

According to a report by TRT, applications and illegal platforms that generally provide paid series, movie, or match streaming services cause significant damage to the national economy. Experts stated that individuals using such platforms could face a judicial investigation.

Making statements on the subject, Attorney Müge Doğan said, "There is an article in the Penal Code that addresses this issue. Those who use these broadcasts illegally and those who provide them, those who derive benefit from organizations broadcasting over the internet, whether encrypted or unencrypted, fall within the scope of a crime regulated in the Penal Code." Doğan added, "The law regulates the crime of obtaining unfair benefit and stipulates a prison sentence of 6 months to 2 years for both those who broadcast and those who watch."

While paying the fee, one might also encounter another legal issue. Organizations providing illegal IPTV services receive payment via IBAN. In other words, users are asked to send the fee for the illegal platform service to a personal account. Experts warned about this as well, stating that if the person to whom the money is sent is a member of any terrorist or criminal organization, users could find themselves in serious trouble.
