The life of Abdullah Çatlı, who lost his life in the 1996 Susurluk accident—considered one of the greatest scandals in the history of the Republic of Turkey—is being brought to the big screen.

In the film, which will be written and directed by Onur Tan, known for productions such as Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, the character of Abdullah Çatlı will be portrayed by Vedat İnceefe. In addition to Onur Tan, the screenwriting team will include Meral Çatlı and her daughters Gökçen Çatlı and Selcen Çatlı, the authors of the book Babam Çatlı (My Father Çatlı).

Vedat İnceefe, who will play Abdullah Çatlı, is a former footballer. Having played for Galatasaray for 7 seasons, Vedat İnceefe was a member of the yellow-red team that won the UEFA Cup.
