Finally, with Germany's transition to a 4-day work week system, expectations in this regard have increased.
According to the report in Sabah, it is planned to reduce weekly working hours from 45 to 40.
In Turkey, with the Labor Law dated 1936, working hours were set at 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week. The weekly working time in the Press Labor Law and the Maritime Labor Law is 48 hours, while in other professional groups, the weekly working time is 45 hours.
With the new regulation, it is envisaged that the relevant working hours for all employees will be reduced to 35-40 hours.
THE MINISTRY HAD ANNOUNCED
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan also said the following in recent months regarding the regulation on working hours:
"In order to strengthen sustainability in the Social Security Institution, we will expand flexible working models with an approach that encourages people to stay in employment longer, and prioritizes fairness and actuarial balance in the social security system. We will make social security legislation and practices more compatible with changing labor market conditions and new generation flexible working forms. We will expand the premium base by increasing data analysis-based, risk-focused audit activities in the fight against informal employment and informal wages"
