The most powerful passports of 2026 have been announced
According to the newly released Henley Passport Index, the ranking of passports providing visa-free travel worldwide has been determined, with Turkey's current position drawing attention.

According to the February 2026 results, Singapore remains the passport that grants entry to the highest number of countries without a visa. Individuals holding a Singaporean passport continue to enjoy the privilege of entering 192 countries visa-free.
Japan and South Korea share second place, with citizens of these two countries able to travel to 187 destinations without a visa. Sweden and the United Arab Emirates occupy the third spot on the list; passports from these countries offer their holders visa-free access to 186 countries.
In the 2026 list, Turkey maintained its 45th position, just as it did last year. Turkish passport holders can currently enter 113 countries without obtaining a visa. Many European countries, which continue to remain at the top of the list, provide their citizens with broad freedom of movement. For example, countries such as Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, and Germany have passports that grant the right of free movement to 185 countries.
Other notable countries in the ranking include Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland in fourth place; Austria, Greece, Malta, and Portugal in fifth place; and Hungary, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia in sixth place.
The United States placed 10th this year, while Canada entered the list in eighth place. Turkey, which found its place at 45th on the list, shared the same rank with the Russian Federation. The number of countries to which Turkish citizens can travel visa-free has remained unchanged with the latest update.
In the lower rankings, Qatar placed 46th, while Belize and South Africa took the 47th spot. East Timor found its place at the end of the list in 50th position.
