Sevgi Sabancı, who has been in the spotlight due to the inheritance lawsuit she filed against the Sabancı family, has made striking statements.

Sevgi Sabancı, born from İhsan Sabancı's unofficial marriage, stated in an interview with Sabah newspaper that she has been engaged in a legal battle for 22 years and that she is not pleased to be exposing family matters, saying, "A family of this stature should not have made the inheritance issue such a problem. I extended an olive branch many times, but it didn't work. I have no crime other than being born. Do I want it to be this way? I am a person living a quiet life in London. I just want to get what is rightfully mine without upsetting or hurting anyone. I am uncomfortable with the Sabancı family's attitude toward me regarding the inheritance."

"I HAVE RIGHTS IN ALL SABANCI COMPANIES"

Noting that her father, İhsan Sabancı, was disinherited due to his relationship with her mother, Sevgi Sabancı claimed that she has rights in all companies within the Sabancı group, stating, "Most importantly, Atlı Köşk and Akbank. My sister Sevilay received her rightful share in Atlı Köşk through the courts. She even put it up for sale on the website Sahibinden.com. Now I am going through a similar process. An injunction has been placed on Atlı Köşk. When I receive my share, I will put it up for sale as well. The amount I am to receive from Akbank is very large. I already have a very significant accumulated claim including interest. I will not place an injunction on the bank. I do not want the bank to suffer from this process."

Stating that if she receives the rights she claims from the inheritance, she will establish a foundation in the name of her father, İhsan Sabancı, Sevgi Sabancı said, "My father was a very overweight person. His health was greatly affected by his weight. I will establish a foundation related to the fight against obesity and will donate a significant amount there. I will leave the remaining money to my two children."
