It is alleged that reports to be prepared by an independent committee established to examine municipalities for which indictments have been prepared will guide new expulsion and disciplinary processes within the party.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP Chairmanship with a decision of absolute nullity, closed the doors to calls for an extraordinary convention and initiated a purge process within the party.

In the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting held in recent weeks, it was decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against names close to Özgür Özel, including Ensar Aytekin, Ali Mahir Başarır, Gökhan Günaydın, Özgür Karabat, Nurhayat Altaca Kayışoğlu, Umut Akdoğan, Veli Ağbaba, and Turan Taşkın Özer.

THE PURGE PROCESS HAS ALSO EXTENDED TO THE ORGANIZATIONS

Changes in the party administration were also reflected in the provincial organizations. Following the MYK and Party Assembly meetings, Gaziantep Provincial Chair Vakkas Acar, Adana Provincial Chair Anıl Tamburoğlu, Malatya Provincial Chair Barış Yıldız, Ankara Acting Provincial Chair Yüksel Işık, and İzmir Provincial Chair Çağatay Güç were dismissed from their duties.

SPECIAL REVIEW COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED FOR MUNICIPALITIES

According to a report by the pro-government Sabah Newspaper, sources close to Kılıçdaroğlu stated that a special committee has been established to examine municipalities for which indictments have been prepared on charges of corruption. It was stated that no politicians are involved in the committee, which began its work last week, and that a significant portion of the members consists of experts from outside the party.

Party sources conveyed that the committee does not have a fixed membership structure and that different experts are assigned according to the scope of the file being examined.

REPORTS WILL INFLUENCE DISCIPLINARY PROCESSES

The sources shared the information that "The MYK has no instructions or directives for this committee. Expert names will independently examine the allegations, prepare a report, and present their evaluations."

The reports to be prepared are expected to be decisive in new disciplinary referrals and expulsion processes in the coming period.

It was learned that the committee will handle the municipalities for which indictments have been issued one by one in the first stage. Financial activity, suspicious transactions, whistleblower statements, documents, and defenses will be evaluated during the examinations. At the end of the process, the committee will prepare a comprehensive report containing its final conclusion.
