The rot at Kızılay continues at full speed! Even the money in the donation boxes has 'gone missing!'
The scandals at Kızılay, which faced backlash after it was revealed that it sold tents during the February 6 earthquakes, show no signs of ending. Most recently, a statement by the Audit Board indicated that '15 thousand 826 TL was not recorded in the accounting books,' and it was revealed that 4 thousand euros of the master's degree tuition for Akif Emre Aktaş, the Vice President of Genç Kızılay and Head of the International Relations Unit, was covered by the institution.

Kahramanmaraş-centered, the audit report for Kızılay, which drew reactions after selling tents following the February 6 earthquakes, has emerged.
According to information obtained by İsmail Arı from BirGün from the Kızılay Audit Board's documents and decisions dated June 2021, it was revealed that the money in the donation boxes placed by Kızılay in many locations to collect aid was not tracked, thousands of liras were not processed, and a donation box in a shopping mall had no record at all.
NEW NAMES ADDED TO MANAGEMENT WHILE INCURRING LOSSES
The information contained in the Audit Board documents is as follows:
"Many of the companies established within Kızılay with a decision taken in 2018 have been making losses, not profits, since the day they were founded. Despite this, a decision was made to increase the number of board members for these companies. Increasing the number of members on the boards of directors will increase costs, and therefore this decision is not correct.
The decision to take Kızılay İçecek A.Ş., to which the mineral water factories in Afyon and Erzincan are affiliated, public is not correct. İçecek A.Ş. should grow with its own resources.
WHERE IS THE MONEY IN THE DONATION BOXES?
It was understood that a total of 47 thousand 552 TL in revenue was generated from the donation boxes counted in Istanbul in 2019, but 15 thousand 826 TL of this was not recorded in the accounting books. In addition, 52 thousand 342 TL was paid to companies in duplicate. There is also no record of the donation collection box stated to be located at the Nautilus Shopping Mall in 2018.
4 THOUSAND EUROS PAID BY KIZILAY!
A decision was made to provide educational assistance to Akif Emre Aktaş, the Vice President of Genç Kızılay and Head of the International Relations Unit. However, it is not appropriate for 4 thousand euros (approximately 140 thousand TL at the current exchange rate) of Aktaş's 12 thousand euro overseas master's degree tuition to be paid by Kızılay. While there are so many poor and orphaned people, it is wrong to make such a high payment under the name of education money, even though it is not a mandatory education.
A decision was made to sell 266 real estate properties, including residences, offices, warehouses, shops, and houses. However, this transaction will create distrust among donors and cause a decrease in donations. Donations should be utilized without being sold."
