It has emerged that the body of 9-year-old Muhammed Çelikbilek was also found in 2007 in the Eğertutmaz stream, where the lifeless body of Narin Güran was discovered 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır.
FOUND AFTER 19 DAYS, JUST LIKE NARIN
The lifeless body of 9-year-old Muhammed was also found after a 19-day search, just like Narin. Muhammed Çelik's body was discovered by a shepherd, caught in trees along the edge of the stream.
His family stated that Muhammed had disappeared from in front of their home.
Speaking on a NOW TV broadcast, father Abdülhakim Çelikbilek stated that he has been in constant doubt since the Narin incident.
Abdülhakim Çelikbilek said that the distance between their home and the location of the stream was 25 kilometers, and that a 9-year-old child could not have traveled that distance on his own.
CASE CLOSED AS 'DROWNING'
The father said that after his son's death, he received no response to his requests for DNA testing or the petitions he filed. The grieving father stated that the prosecutor's office only told him the cause of his son's death was 'drowning' and that the case was closed within 1 month.
