The suspicious death of 21-year-old Derya: Family notified three days later

21-year-old law student Derya Arıkan was found dead in a hotel room in the Ulus district of Ankara. According to her family, they were notified of her death three days later. 21-year-old Derya Arıkan had told her family that she was a student at the Düzce University Faculty of Law.

She had come to Ankara for an internship. On Sunday, July 28, her family was notified that she had been found dead in a hotel room in the Ulus district of Ankara.

Her brother, Sinan Arıkan, says that when they received the body, there was decomposition on his sister's body.

INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED IN SECRET

The name of the hotel where Derya was found was not disclosed to the family. The family could neither reach the hotel nor access security camera footage.

It is unknown who she entered the room with, how long she stayed, or who rented the room.

According to information the family obtained through their own efforts, the incident took place in an unnamed hotel in Ulus, Ankara.

Derya Arıkan's body was brought to her hometown, the village of Akören in the Malazgirt district of Muş, a few days after her death. She was laid to rest on the morning of July 30. She was buried in a quiet ceremony.
