Police, responding to a report that a vehicle had crashed in Eyüpsultan and that 3 masked individuals inside had fired into the air before fleeing, discovered long-barreled weapons, a canister filled with gasoline, and masks during a search of the vehicle. Police have launched an operation to apprehend the masked suspects. The seized weapons were taken to the police station for examination.

In Eyüpsultan's Düğmeciler Neighborhood, Esmasultan Street, a caller notified the police around 11:00 PM last night that a speeding vehicle had crashed into a wall and that 3 masked individuals who got out of the car had fled the scene after firing into the air.
HANDED OVER TO COUNTER-TERRORISM POLICE
Following the report, teams from the Eyüpsultan District Police Department dispatched to the scene found long-barreled weapons, masks, and a canister filled with gasoline inside the vehicle.
Crime scene investigation teams conducted fingerprint analysis on the vehicle and the materials found inside. Due to the discovery of long-barreled weapons and a gasoline canister, the Istanbul Counter-Terrorism Branch took over the case, considering the possibility that the fleeing suspects might be members of a terrorist organization.
The vehicle was taken to the police station for examination.
