After Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was brought to the CHP Chairmanship, well-known artists such as Zülfü Livaneli, Selda Bağcan, Ali Altay, and Suavi issued statements expressing their discomfort with their works being used at party events.

Barış Yarkadaş, who works as a commentator in media outlets close to the AKP, criticized the artists' decision with harsh language on TV100. Yarkadaş expressed his reaction on the program with the words, "Zülfü Livaneli, Suavi, Ali Altay are making statements, Edip Akbayram's family is making statements, saying 'do not use our songs.' Whose songs are you preventing from being used by whom? By what right are you preventing them from being used?"

Following Yarkadaş's harsh outburst, Suavi responded with a post on the social media platform X. The artist addressed Yarkadaş with the following words:

Stating, "Barış (Y)arkadaş, do not react without knowing. There is no age for learning," Suavi suggested that the laws protecting musicians' rights be examined and that music professional associations be contacted.
