They put puppies in a sack and left them to die in a trash container!

In the Alaşehir district of Manisa, 6 puppies were found inside a sack thrown into a trash container. The puppies, discovered by students passing by the container, were taken by an animal lover and left at a veterinarian for check-ups and care.

The incident occurred the previous day around 19:00. Manisa Celal Bayar University Alaşehir Vocational School 2nd-year students Ayşegül Oktay and Sudenaz Vural heard a sound coming from a trash container on the side of the road while walking home after school.

The students listened to the sound and looked inside the container. Realizing that the sound was coming from an open sack and a bag next to it in the trash, the young people were shocked by what they saw. Seeing 6 puppies in the blood-stained sack and the bag next to it, the students immediately removed the animals from the trash. Not knowing what to do, the students called school representative and animal lover Mete Üründü to ask for help. Mete Üründü, who arrived at the scene with his wife Müşerref Üründü, took the newborn puppies, which still had blood on them, and brought them to a private veterinary clinic. It was learned that the puppies were treated and taken into care at the clinic, and their health condition is good.

 

Mete Üründü, who had the puppies treated, said, “Our friends heard a sound from the container while walking on the road. When they looked into the container, they saw the puppies inside the sack. They took the puppies out of the sack and called me. I came to the scene with my wife Müşerref Üründü. The puppies were very small and still had blood on them. I immediately took them to a private clinic. They have been treated, they are currently under control, and their health is very good. This is a massacre, please let us not remain indifferent. Let us help these animal friends. If you are unable to care for them, you can take them to the Alaşehir Municipality or call them to ask for help. Let us be sensitive about this; anyone who does not love animals does not love anyone.”

Ayşegül Oktay, one of the students who found the puppies, said, “My friend and I had gone to a kiosk. We heard a sound similar to a child's voice from the trash container on the side of the road, and we immediately looked into the trash. There were wiggling puppies in the sack. We immediately took the sack and took the puppies out, but there was still a sound coming from the container. We looked again, and there were 2 more puppies put in a bag; we took them out too. We didn't know what to do. We called our school representative Mete Üründü and asked for help. Thank goodness he came and took care of the puppies.”
