Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the operation on X.
Yerlikaya stated the following:
"Under the coordination of the MIT Presidency, the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department, and the Counter-Terrorism Department; following the identification of organization members linked to the structure the DAESH terrorist organization is attempting to form in Turkey, known as the 'Salman al-Farisi Battalion,' and the discovery that they were conducting reconnaissance activities targeting Jewish and Christian places of worship in Istanbul; a total of 39 addresses were raided simultaneously in the 'KAHRAMANLAR-37' operations, centered in Istanbul and spanning Ankara, Balıkesir, Bolu, Düzce, Kırşehir, Konya, Sakarya, and Samsun, resulting in the capture of 29 individuals."
