Women leaving the area after the March 8 Feminist Night March, which has become a tradition for 23 years in Taksim, Istanbul, were detained.
According to the report in Artı Gerçek, police intervened against the women on the grounds of "opposition to Law No. 2911" and for chanting the slogan "Tayyip, run, run, run, the women are coming," detaining 112 people, including 2 children, by beating them and using reverse handcuffs.
111 of those detained were released early this morning.
