Those who resigned during the Meral Akşener era are returning to the İYİ Party

It has been suggested that some figures who resigned from the İYİ Party, which saw a series of resignations before and after the March 31 Local Elections, will rejoin the party.

There is a push for Yüksel Arslan and Adnan Beker, who resigned from their party during the tenure of former İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener, to return. It was learned that following discussions initiated through some of the İYİ Party's deputy chairmen, the parties were heard out, and İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu was also informed about the situation.

It is claimed that Arslan, one of the figures contacted, is not opposed to returning to his party, but wants a decision to be made to support Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş as a presidential candidate.

Sources close to Beker, however, state that he wishes to remain independent for a while longer. They point out that he has a busy schedule of meetings due to his influence in Ankara and that these meetings do not necessarily signal a return.

EXPELLED MEMBER ÜMİT DİKBAKIR MAY ALSO RETURN

On the other hand, it was stated that there is a similar intention regarding Ümit Dikbayır, who was accused by Akşener of having her accounts audited and was expelled from the İYİ Party by a disciplinary board decision. It was learned that contact with Dikbayır is ongoing and no final decision has been made yet.

BADGES MAY BE PINNED ON OCTOBER 25

If the returns are possible, the goal is to pin the badges on October 25, the party's founding anniversary. Although the İYİ Party leadership plans to invite Akşener to the events to be held that day, it is considered unlikely in political circles that Akşener will attend.

Meanwhile, images have emerged showing that photos of Akşener, which were previously hung in some rooms of the İYİ Party's Istanbul organization, have been taken down, leaving only Dervişoğlu's photo.
