Women's hair salons and beauty centers have been exempted from the 'Sunday closure' decision.

The Ministry of Trade announced that beauty salons and hair salons will be exempted from the practice of closing one day a week for barbers, beauty salons, and hair salons.

Thus, women's hair salons will remain open on Sundays.

While the day that businesses will be closed has not yet been determined, it is expected to be Tuesdays.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the statement, which pointed out that studies with broad industry participation were conducted to ensure that the day of closure could be determined by governorates, taking into account the sectoral structure and business profile of each province as well as consumer preferences and needs, and that these studies have been completed, the following was noted:

"In this direction, the practice of barbers, hair salons, and beauty salons being closed one day a week nationwide will come into effect as of July 1, and if it is determined that these businesses are not closed on the days determined by the governorates, administrative sanctions will be applied by our Ministry."
