Threats against Murat Ağırel: 'They said they would rape my wife and daughter, and shoot me in the head'

Journalist Murat Ağırel, who writes about irregularities in the world of football and played a major role in exposing the money laundering activities of the Dilan-Engin Polat couple, announced on the live broadcast of the program "Kayda Geçsin" on Halk TV, hosted by Şule Aydın, that he has been threatened.

Stating that he has been threatened with death, Ağırel announced that his wife and child have also been threatened with rape.

"I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE"

Journalist Murat Ağırel made the following statements regarding the matter:

"They said they would rape my wife, my daughter, and my children. They said they would shoot me in the head. They are saying this about my 12-year-old daughter. I have reported all of this to the Prosecutor's Office. They have also targeted my sisters. This is not a fan base of a club, but an organized structure claiming to act on their behalf. Thankfully, our Prosecutor stated that this is an organized structure and that the Telegram and WhatsApp accounts, as well as their internal messaging, must be identified. Thankfully, the police authorities have also obtained the names of those accounts."

"I WILL NOT LET THIS GO"

"'It won't take long, within 5-10 days we will uncover the structure of all of them, and we will initiate an investigation into this, Mr. Murat,' he said. Officials from the Directorate of Communications have received information regarding these messages. They have taken action regarding all of them. I will not let this go."

AĞIREL SHARED THE MESSAGES HE RECEIVED

Following his statements about being threatened, Ağırel shared the messages he received on the X platform, saying, "I can understand your criticism, I can understand your reaction. However, I am addressing those who have been targeting me for days, organizing in WhatsApp and Telegram groups, and targeting me in their broadcasts for the sake of engagement. Read just 3 of the messages written to my wife, my daughter, my sisters, and me. These immoral people are not ordinary troll accounts. I will find their names, surnames, groups, and real identities one by one. They are not fans of a club. They are vultures feeding off football."
