Following the meteorological warning, Turkish Airlines has made adjustments to its flight schedule.

40 FLIGHTS CANCELLED IN BOTH DIRECTIONS

THY announced that a total of 40 flights have been cancelled in both directions in accordance with the decision of MADKOM (Meteorological Emergency Committee) due to the adverse weather conditions expected in Istanbul.

STORM WARNING FROM METEOROLOGY

While a storm warning has been issued for the Marmara Region for the weekend, citizens have been urged to be cautious against potential disruptions.

In the statement made by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, it was stated: "As winds are expected to blow as a storm (50-70 km/h) from the north and northwest across the region starting from Saturday morning, and as a strong storm (70-90 km/h) and locally as a full storm (90-110 km/h) in the eastern parts starting from Sunday morning, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences such as transportation disruptions, roof damage, and the toppling of trees and poles."
