TKP calls for anti-NATO rally

The Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) is preparing to protest the NATO summit that will take place in Ankara in July.

The TKP used striking language in its call for a rally made via its social media account.

Here is that call:

"NATO is death and dishonor!

Long live peace, independence, and socialism!

We are meeting at the great anti-NATO rally on July 5th!

The AKP is preparing to bring life to a standstill in Ankara for the NATO summit in July. This ominous organization, which has caused bloodshed for peoples all over the world since its founding, will undergo a restructuring at the Ankara summit that will draw Turkey further into plans for war and destruction. NATO's imperialist plans and the calculations they make regarding Turkey must be stopped in Ankara as well.

We invite our people to meet at the great anti-NATO rally on July 5th to issue a strong warning to the imperialists before the NATO summit. The patriots who will come together at the rally will show the pro-NATO imperialists that neither Turkey nor the peoples of the world are ownerless or helpless by saying, 'NATO is death and dishonor; long live peace, independence, and socialism.'"
